Primary Purpose

The primary purpose of the Finance Business Partner is to support critical business activities related to financial planning, analysis, reporting, and financial governance.


Specific Responsibilities

1. Develop financial models for Capital Expenditure to aid decision-making for Business Development and Operational Teams.
2. Hold Operations partners accountable to performance metrics outlined in the Capex models.
3. Manage the collation and reporting of the Ports BU capital expenditure and analyze working capital.
4. Assist in financial due diligence of M&A opportunities, including developing business cases and preparing Board review materials.
5. Support post-investment reviews; manage financial projects related to large Capex expenditure projects.
6. Manage Fixed Assets for the Ports Division, ensuring assets are properly accounted for and annual stocktakes are performed.
7. Provide financial and reporting assistance to the GM Engineering regarding Ports Fixed Assets.
8. Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation of budgeting and month-end procedures.
9. Conduct internal audits of processes within the Ports Division.
10. Perform ad hoc project analyses as required by the General Managers.


Essential Qualifications & Experience

* Minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within the Ports sector.
* Accounting background.
* Advanced MS Office skills.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, especially in data analysis and reporting.
* Excellent written and presentation skills.
