About the RoleAs a Project Technician, you'll work closely with our project team to plan and deliver technical solutions for clients. From installing new servers and migrating to the cloud, to deploying new systems and rolling out IT products, this role is hands-on, diverse, and customer focused.
Key Role ResponsibilitiesDeliver and implement IT infrastructure projects (on-prem and cloud) Perform server installations, upgrades, and migrations Deploy Microsoft 365, Azure, and other modern platforms Implement new hardware, software, and systems for clients Work on-site and remotely with customers to ensure seamless rollouts Document work clearly and follow project delivery processes Skills and Experience
RequiredIt is expected the IT Project Officer will have:
Hold a minimum of 3-year relevant experience, in an IT Project Technician or Technical role (preferably MSP specific). Live within the ACT region in Australia as you will be driving to and from customer locations from Hume, ACT. Hold a valid, Australian Drivers Licence to drive the available AUIT cars and equipment to customer sites. Be able to successfully pass an Australian Police Check. Knowledge of the Essential 8. Active Directory and EntraAD Experience. Windows file shares, permissions, security experience. Group Policy creation and management experience. Intune Enrolment and Policy Management experience. Printer management experience. Office 365 Management experience. Domain/DNS Management experience. Network management (subnetting, L2/L3 switching/routing) (Desirable). VOIP/SIP Phone system administration experience. DesirableMinimum 3-year practical experience in the Information Technology industry, preferably in the IT Service Desk Analyst space. Have previous experience providing Level 2-3 support in Full Managed Services IT type environments. Tracking project progression, liaising with clients and management team, creating documentation, via ticket-based CRM with a high level of attention to detail whilst providing the customer with regular progress updates. Demonstrated experience administrating and deploying Microsoft Intune, Windows Server Environments and Desktop products including Active Directory. Experience with troubleshooting Microsoft Office products including 365 and Intune. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take responsibility for issues that arise. Comprehensive understanding of IT fundamentals including email and file sharing. Experience with hardware faults including printer issues and router issues. Strong attention to detail. Please submit your CV and a ONE page cover letter outlining your experience.
