About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Executive Culinary Specialist to join our supportive and friendly team at Karingal Community located in Devonport, Tasmania.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality meals and refreshments that meet the individual nutritional needs and preferences of our residents.
* Contribute to the production of food items such as therapeutic diets, special meals etc.
* Follow recipe cards and prepare defined menus in a timely manner.
* Assist the Head Chef with the management of Food Safety Program Guidelines and its day-to-day compliance.
* Assist with stock inventory.
* Maintain high standards of food handling practices.
* Deliver meals across dining areas within a residence.
* Provide support to the retail café area or for functions and events within the residence.
* Support function planning and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Culinary Expertise: Demonstrate exceptional culinary skills and knowledge in preparing nutritious and delicious meals for residents.
Food Safety: Ensure compliance with Food Safety Program Guidelines and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Teamwork: Collaborate with the Head Chef and other team members to achieve excellent customer service and meal delivery.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Qualifications: Mandatory Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (HLTFSE001, HLTFSE005, HLTFSE007)
Skills: Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team.
