Our organisation is seeking a Program Coordinator to lead its temporary supported accommodation service in the Cairns region.
This rewarding leadership opportunity involves driving quality service delivery, championing recovery-oriented practice, and leading a committed team making a real difference in the lives of vulnerable adults.
The successful candidate will provide operational management and oversight for a residential service supporting up to 20 adults aged 18 and over.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading program operations with a focus on service quality, client outcomes, and contractual compliance
* Overseeing financial, staffing, and resource planning to ensure efficient service delivery
* Implementing and reviewing care strategies that prioritise housing stability, wellbeing, and community reintegration
* Monitoring and evaluating service performance, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and reporting obligations
* Supporting, mentoring, and developing staff through strong leadership, coaching, and succession planning
* Promoting a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement
* Participating in an on-call roster and contributing to broader organisational initiatives
The ideal candidate will be a confident and compassionate leader with a balance of strategic oversight and practical service delivery experience.
They will bring a proven track record of coordinating programs or services in the housing and homelessness, mental health, or community sector.
Key qualifications and requirements include:
* Relevant tertiary qualification in Community Services, Social Work, AOD, or similar
* Current Driver's Licence
* Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
* NDIS Clearance
* Working with Children Check
* Participation in on-call duties as required
