We are seeking a dynamic and collaborative Executive Teacher to lead teaching, learning and wellbeing in our Health and Physical Education (HPE) faculty. The school leader will join a united executive team who work together to lead the implementation of our school priorities.

Job description

The HPE faculty School Leader C (SLC) is responsible for leading the curriculum development and implementation in year Seven to 10 Health and Physical Education classes and Social and Emotional Learning classes. This SLC position includes oversight of sports coordination including carnivals, Student Leadership, House Culture, Peer Support Program, staff wellbeing and Safe Plates. The successful applicant will:

* Work collaboratively with the executive team to work towards whole-school goals and action the school's implementation plan.
* Lead teaching and learning within the faculty including building staff capacity.
* Effectively implement a Professional Learning Community within the faculty.
* Manage whole school responsibilities.
* Lead and support a positive and collaborative staff culture.
* Manage HPE resources.
* Undertake an appropriate teaching load and other duties as determined by the Principal.

Eligibility/Other requirements:

* A minimum of four years full time (or equivalent) tertiary study leading to the award of a recognised school teaching qualification.
* Current professional teaching registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) or eligibility to obtain.
* Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to - Working with vulnerable people (WWVP) registration (act.gov.au)
