Through meticulous artisan skills that include handmade chocolate creation and finishing, combined with advanced manufacturing equipment and techniques, Haigh's creates exquisite chocolates that look and taste delicious.Are you organised, detail-oriented and enjoy keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes? We're looking for a Scheduling & Purchasing Assistant to join our Operational Excellence team. This full-time, permanent role reports to the Operational Excellence Manager and is predominantly based in Parkside, with some days at our Salisbury South complex.

This is a hands-on administrative support role, working closely with our Master Scheduler and Purchasing Officer to ensure production runs efficiently. If you enjoy coordinating tasks, working with systems and supporting teams across the business, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you'll provide day-to-day administrative support across scheduling and purchasing activities. You'll help update production schedules, check ingredient and packaging availability, follow up on shortfalls and assist with raising purchase orders. Your key responsibilities include:

* Updating and maintaining production schedules across multiple machine centres.
* Assisting with kitchen planning and other scheduling tasks.
* Monitoring inventory levels, identifying discrepancies and following up on material shortfalls.
* Raising and receipting purchase orders for ingredients, packaging, consumables and uniforms.
* Supporting the Purchasing Officer with general purchasing tasks.
* Working with Production, QA, Warehousing and other teams to stay across progress, delays, and challenges.
* Providing general administrative support as needed, including cover during team leave.

About You

* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong organisational and administrative capability.
* Comfortable working with systems and data.
* Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including data handling, pivot tables and ideally experience with macros.
* Experience in planning or purchasing is helpful but not essential.
* Builds strong, positive working relationships across teams.
* Proactive, reliable and keen to help keep things running smoothly.

Tools You'll UseExperience with Microsoft Office is required. Training will be provided for QAD (inventory and purchasing system) and Esker (finance and purchase order management system).
