Overview

National Account Manager – Major Retailers | Manage & Grow Tier 1 Accounts | Future Leadership Pathway

Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 + Super + Vehicle + STI

Our client is a global leader in the homewares category, operating in 35+ countries and recognised for combining cutting-edge product innovation with a fully integrated supply chain — from manufacturing to warehousing to distribution. With 100s of SKUs and a focus on NPD and quality, the business delivers value to retailers and continues to expand in the Australian market.

We are seeking an experienced National Account Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of major national retail accounts, with a clear path toward future leadership roles such as Country Manager or Sales Director.

The Role

This is a pure national account management role – no new business hunting, just a strong focus on growing existing Tier 1 relationships and closing whitespace. You’ll be the key point of contact for some of the biggest retail names in the country, including:

- Coles & Woolworths
- Kmart
- Costco
- Officeworks
- Other Wesfarmers group businesses

This is a highly strategic role where you’ll lead account planning, drive range expansion, and collaborate with internal teams to bring new products and solutions to market.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and grow key national retail accounts across grocery, mass, and general merchandise
- Identify whitespace and drive incremental revenue within existing account structures
- Partner with buyers to deliver compelling product solutions and maximise shelf presence
- Collaborate with NPD, category, and supply chain teams to deliver on customer expectations
- Lead strategic planning, forecasting, promotional planning, and performance reporting

What You’ll Bring

- 5+ years in National Account Management, ideally with exposure to major retailers
- Experience across grocery, mass retail, or general merchandise highly regarded
- Strong commercial acumen and a proven track record of growing complex accounts
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and internal stakeholder management skills
- A strategic mindset with the ability to drive execution at scale
