Lead advanced occupational therapy practice for adults with brain injury, delivering high-quality, evidence-based rehabilitation through expert clinical leadership, professional supervision, and multidisciplinary collaboration to support optimal patient outcomes and service innovation.

Step into a senior leadership role at Liverpool Hospital's Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit (BIRU) and shape the delivery of high-quality neurological rehabilitation while developing people, services and outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Lead and support the BIRU inpatient occupational therapy team, providing clinical supervision, guidance and line management to Level 1/2 clinicians.
* Deliver and champion safe, compassionate, timely and person-centred occupational therapy care for inpatients with brain injuries.
* Drive clinical excellence through service planning, evaluation and reporting, with a focus on continuous improvement and best practice.
* Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to innovation in neurological rehabilitation services.
* Act as a consultative and leadership resource across the district, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.

You are an experienced and confident clinician who brings advanced clinical expertise, strong leadership capability and a commitment to continuous improvement within a complex healthcare environment.
* Demonstrated high-level clinical expertise across a broad range of conditions within brain injury rehabilitation, with the ability to apply expert knowledge to complex care delivery.
* Proven experience leading quality improvement initiatives and contributing to service evaluation, development and innovation.
* Strong track record in implementing evidence into practice, with knowledge of or involvement in research activities.
* Demonstrated leadership experience, including staff management, clinical supervision and mentoring of clinicians and/or students, with the ability to adapt effectively to change.
* Excellent communication, time management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting.
Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
* Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy or other qualification deemed appropriate by the employer, with registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Demonstrated high level clinical expertise and knowledge of a wide range of clinical conditions in Neurological rehabilitation.
* Demonstrated experience leading quality improvement processes and involvement in service evaluation and development.
* Demonstrated experience in the management, clinical supervision and mentoring of staff and/or students.
* Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively adapt to ongoing change to achieve health service outcomes.
* Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
