Role Description
JALBAR Constructions is hiring a Carpenter for a full-time, on-site role located in Newcastle, NSW. The Carpenter will be responsible for tasks such as constructing, installing, and repairing frameworks, structures, and fixtures. Daily tasks include working with framing, finish carpentry, and using hand and power tools to complete various residential construction projects. The role also involves collaborating with team members to ensure projects are completed to the highest standard of craftsmanship and according to client specifications.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in Carpentry and Finish Carpentry
* Experience with Hand Tools and Power Tools
* Strong skills in Framing and other structural carpentry techniques
* Attention to detail and high standards for quality craftsmanship
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
* Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
* Familiarity with workplace safety protocols and regulations
* Previous experience in residential construction or renovation is a plus
* Relevant certification or qualification in Carpentry/Construction is preferred
