POSITION OBJECTIVE
This position reviews and verifies applications, materials and information including National Police Clearances (NPCs) and Release of Information Forms. It interrogates Western Australian Police Force and National Police databases to identify individuals that may pose a security risk to the gold mining industry.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Applicants must complete, sign and scan the Integrity Check Consent Form (attached) and submit it with their application. Current Western Australian Police Force employees are exempt from this form.
Applicants are required to answer the following questions in no more than two (2) pages:
Given the sensitive nature of the role, how do you handle confidential information and maintain a high level of discretion and integrity when dealing with sensitive cases and personal data?
Can you please provide an example of a situation where you had to effectively coordinate and communicate with external stakeholders while managing your time to ensure a smooth and timely resolution?
Additionally, submit a comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV) with sufficient detail to allow the selection panel to assess your skills and experience relevant to the Key Accountabilities of the attached Position Description Form.
The CV must include the names and contact details of two (2) referees who can comment on your ability to satisfy all Essential Work Related Requirements. At least one referee should be an immediate (most recent) supervisor or manager, unless exceptional circumstances exist.
OTHER CONDITIONS
This selection process may also be used to fill similar vacancies throughout the district. If the successful applicant declines or vacates the advertised position, another suitable candidate may be selected from this pool for up to twelve (12) months from the initial date of appointment.
Integrity and criminal checks will be conducted for applicants who are not current WA Police Force employees. Any relocation costs associated with appointment to these positions may be the responsibility of the successful applicant.
