Lachlan Engineering Services is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Retail Sales Assistant to join its Industrial Supplies team. This frontline role focuses on helping customers find the right products and supporting local industries, including farmers, tradespeople, and businesses. It's a dynamic, hands‑on position where tasks vary from assisting with product enquiries to managing orders, stocking shelves, and even repairing hydraulic hoses.
Key Responsibilities: (The Variety You'll Get)
Sales & Customer Relations:
* Provide helpful, knowledgeable service to customers and suppliers
* Handle quotes, orders, and stock replenishment
* Greet and assist customers on the shop floor, providing friendly and professional service.
* Answer phone calls and emails promptly, handling customer enquiries.
* Process sales transactions accurately using our point‑of‑sale system.
Inventory & Operation:
* Assist with receiving, checking and stocking incoming deliveries of industrial products.
* Ensure the shop floor and storage areas are clean, tidy and well organised.
* Help monitor stock levels and report low inventory for re‑ordering.
Administration Support:
* Assist the owners and colleagues with daily administrative tasks.
* Maintain accurate records and handle necessary paperwork.
* Ensure all communications with suppliers and customers are clear and professional.
