AgLend Finance has been helping farmers, graziers and commercial business owners since 2001, providing custom-built farm finance solutions for each unique borrower. Founded and based in Queensland, we continue to grow, expanding our services across the country. We pride ourselves on our focus on our clients, their individual needs and circumstances, and of our understanding of the rural farming sector.
We are a growing business and are seeking an additional small business banker to join our team on either a full-time or part-time basis.
About the role
This is a new role, working in conjunction with the Relationship Manager and Accounts managers on a range of functions. Typically, you will be collaborating with Accounts Managers and clients to understand the needs and circumstances of the client and to tailor the ideal finance package for that client. This requires working closely with individual clients, understanding their business, analysing their financial and business position, and identifying appropriate financing solutions.
You will also be dealing with financial institutions, brokering loans on behalf of clients. And of course, you'll be assisting clients in preparing and compiling loan applications and supporting them through the loan processes. You'll be the key point of contact throughout the loan processes and beyond, providing ongoing support, follow-up, and annual reviews.
About you
You will have:
* A background in banking or finance (in a high-volume segment) in a rural/regional location.
* Strong understanding of business/commercial lending (Agri), with some additional experience in home loans and equipment finance.
* A solid understanding of agricultural business issues and needs.
* An ability to examine and understand client needs.
* Financial literacy and analytical skills.
* An attention to detail, accuracy, and a thorough approach to your work.
* The ability to build and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders.
* Resilience and a problem-solving approach: The role may present challenges that require innovative solutions. Candidates should demonstrate resilience, a positive attitude, and the ability to navigate challenges effectively.
You'll be a team collaborator: While the role is remote, it requires regular virtual interactions with team members, stakeholders, and clients. Strong communication skills and the ability to foster relationships in a virtual setting are crucial.
As a remote worker, you'll need to be able to work independently. You'll be tech savvy, capable of dealing with routine ITC issues and able to quickly learn, navigate and use various ITC/on-line systems. And you'll use these systems to be efficient and effective in your work. You'll also be a self-starter who is able to prioritise and manage your time well.
What we offer
Remote, work-from-home and flexible work options - this role can be undertaken anywhere in Australia, and we are happy to discuss either full-time or part-time employment. A remuneration package will be negotiated.
As a small and growing business, we are flexible in the way we operate, including how roles are designed, so there is scope to tailor the role to best fit the skills and experience you bring as well as scope for the role to develop and grow.
