Job Description:
This is a leadership position that involves providing high-quality psychiatric services and demonstrating clinical leadership to mental health within the division of mental health services at Princess Alexandra Hospital.
The successful candidate will provide strong clinical leadership and support the strategic direction for high-quality service provision within the hospital's catchment area.
About The Role:
Provides direct psychiatric clinical services to consumers of mental health in Princess Alexandra Hospital and leads community mental health teams in delivering high-quality clinical care to patients within the mental health services.
Provide high-level clinical leadership in clinical care provision and in the development and review of clinical practice and of procedures, protocols, and policies that support the provision of appropriate, evidence-based, timely, and seamless care for consumers within mental health services.
Contribute to the body of professional knowledge through presentations at local, state, national, and international meetings and by publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Participate in professional development activities for all members of the multi-disciplinary mental health team.
Adhere to the role of Authorised Psychiatrist and Clinical Director role provisions as per the Mental Health Act 2016.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Community Mental Health Teams in delivering high-quality clinical care to patients within the mental health services.
Provide high-level clinical leadership in clinical care provision and in the development and review of clinical practice and of procedures, protocols, and policies.
Contribute to the body of professional knowledge through presentations and publications.
