Samaritans Youth Services, part of **Newcastle Anglican**, supports disadvantaged and at-risk young people through residential care, outreach, early intervention, and community programs. **Key Responsibilities**:
- Support young people facing crisis, homelessness, or disadvantage.
- Deliver person-centred care, advocacy, and referrals to local services.
- Promote child safety, wellbeing, and legal rights awareness.
- Build strong professional relationships with families and external services.
- Facilitate group programs, safety plans, and house meetings.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative team and uphold WHS standards.
**What You'll Bring**:
- Experience or qualifications in social work/youth/community services and/or extensive experience
- Strong communication, empathy, and resilience.
- Knowledge of local youth support networks and trauma-informed care.
- Commitment to cultural safety and reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
The successful applicant will possess or willingness to obtain the following: NSW Working with Children Check, Criminal History Check, Drivers Licence, first aid & CPR certificate and undertake a pre-employment functional medical.
