Job Summary
Are you looking for an exciting and dynamic role in Criminal Justice that will give you the opportunity to engage and support service users with various vulnerabilities and needs? We are seeking an enthusiastic and conscientious person for the role of Liaison and Diversion Practitioner (LDP) within Liaison, Diversion and Reconnect (LD&R).
LD&R is a countywide service supporting Kent and Medway's Police custody suites, Magistrates, Crown Courts, Prisons, and the wider community. This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving service known for excellent service user care and stakeholder engagement.
Special Interests
* We are particularly interested in applications from individuals with a background or interest in Neurodiversity and/or clients with speech and language difficulties.
The post holder must hold a full, valid UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work purposes, unless disabled as defined by the Equality Act 2010.
Main Duties
As an LDP, you will screen, signpost, and support individuals in Police custody suites and Prisons, identifying health and social vulnerabilities affecting their well-being. You will also be part of the LD&R Support, Time, Recovery (STR) team in the community, supporting aftercare for clients involved in the criminal justice system.

Job Responsibilities
Full local induction provided. Flexibility to work across custody suites, Prisons, and community settings is required, with the ability to travel across a wide area. Role is subject to vetting by Kent Police/HMP. Contact the LD&R Team Manager for an informal chat before applying.

Qualifications (Essential)
* NVQ Level 4 or relevant qualification
Experience (Essential)
* Experience in addressing health & social care needs of service users
* Experience working within a multidisciplinary team
* Experience liaising with partnership agencies

* Experience working with offenders

* Problem-solving skills
* Excellent written communication
