Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality of backend services, troubleshoot issues, and stay updated on the latest mobile development and testing frameworks.Role Responsibilities:Being the voice of quality in the teamCoding alongside engineers, deploying to test and production environmentsBuilding, using and improving various automation tools and frameworksIdentifying, highlighting and implementing quality improvements across the product, process and cultureSetting directions for quality tooling and strategy ● Working in small autonomous Agile squadsProviding mentorship to other engineers, instilling a strong focus on security and qualityExercising values of shifting quality left in a dynamic, Agile - DevOps model of software deliveryQualifications3+ years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, quality control, or a related technical role.Hands-on experience testing native iOS and Android with a focus on delivering high-quality mobile applications.Strong understanding and practical experience with the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) phases.A strong commitment to quality assurance principles throughout the development lifecycle, influencing and persuading teams to adopt a proactive quality first approach.Strong ability to identify the underlying causes of defects and issues and propose effective solutions.Strong verbal and written communication to effectively interact with various stakeholders (engineers, product managers, designers).Ability to identify potential issues, propose improvements, and drive quality initiatives.A self-motivated individual with a strong desire to learn, continuously improve, and champion quality within the team.Desirable Qualifications, Experience & SkillsSolid understanding of CI/CD principles and practices.Ability to leverage native mobile application automation skills to drive efficiency and successful project outcomes.Familiarity with native mobile build and deployment tools (e.g., Xcode, Android Studio, Fastlane, Firebase).Additional InformationHow we workAt Nine, our flexible work options vary by role and team.
