St John the Baptist Primary School, a Catholic school catering to students from Kindergarten to Year 6, is seeking a Temporary Part‐Time (0.2 FTE) Primary Teacher to join the team for 12 months starting in 2025, teaching on Tuesdays.
Job Description
The teacher will promote the school as a place of learning and excellence in accordance with contemporary evidence‐based learning and wellbeing principles, including digital learning. The teacher will ensure ongoing development and implementation of pedagogical practices that impact on student learning outcomes and comply with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
Responsibilities
- Support the Catholic community and provide a faith‐filled educational experience for students and families.
- Promote the school as a place of learning and excellence, fostering creativity, curiosity, and deep learning.
- Differentiate learning for students according to their needs and abilities, and create effective assessment practices and quality teaching programs.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Explicit understanding and personal commitment to Catholic Education, actively supporting the Catholic ethos and culture of the school; for Primary or Religion Teaching positions, a Catholic is required.
- Effective use of assessment and relevant school data to optimise organisational and educational outcomes.
- Collaborative work with school staff and the wider community to establish productive partnerships and achieve educational outcomes.
- An innovative and agile mindset that supports continuous improvement within the school environment.
Qualifications
- Four‐year trained teacher.
- Active NESA accreditation.
- Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) number.
- Completion of anaphylaxis training.
- Completion of CPR training.
Conditions of Employment
Salary in accordance with the New South Wales & Australian Capital Territory Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2023.
