Job Summary:
* Perform repairs, services and inspections on engines, gearboxes, brakes and other components of trucks, buses and trailers.
* Use diagnostic software and equipment to identify and resolve issues.
* Produce detailed reports of work completed, including supplies used and recommendations.
* Provide guidance and support to less experienced technicians.
* Conduct roadworthy inspections for VicRoads.
* Perform mechanical and hydraulic works, as well as auto electrical and fabrication tasks.
This role involves working with various makes and models of trucks and engines.
Requirements:
* Minimum certificate 3 in mechanical trade.
* Experience in the heavy vehicle industry.
* Experience with American, European or Japanese drivelines is highly regarded.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Current HC/HR drivers license is an advantage but not essential.
* Pride in your work with ability to meet targets and high standards.
* High levels of motivation, reliability and positive attitude.
* Effective communication skills and commitment to workplace safety.
* Own tools.
