About the Role
As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end preparation and review of tax obligations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
A key part of this role is building and maintaining strong client relationships. You will act as a trusted advisor, confidently communicating complex tax concepts in a clear and practical way. You will also work closely with partners on more complex matters, gaining exposure to higher-level advisory work.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their work, takes pride in delivering excellent client service, and is looking to grow into a more senior or leadership-focused role over time.
This is a full‐time, in‐office role based in our Joondalup office. We value collaboration, mentoring, and client interaction — all of which happen best on site.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation of individual, company, trust, and partnership tax returns and financial statements
* Managing and building strong client relationships
* Ensuring compliance with Australian taxation laws and regulations
* Liaising with the ATO and other regulatory bodies on behalf of clients
* Preparing and reviewing Business Activity Statements (BAS), IAS, and other compliance reporting
About You
* Minimum 3 years' experience in public practice accounting (taxation focus)
* Strong knowledge of Australian tax legislation
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Experience with Xero Practice Manager, FYI and BGL preferable
