Heavy Equipment Technician
Ready Resources is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. As an HD Mechanic or Mobile Plant Mechanic, you will be responsible for providing maintenance and technical support to leading mining and industrial clients.
Job Description:
* Maintenance and repair of heavy equipment and machinery
* Installation, testing, and adjustment of equipment
* Diagnosis and repair of mechanical and electrical faults
* Service and repair of engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical and electronic systems in heavy equipment
* Use computers to seek service and parts information, download information from on-board computers
* Analysis of data from diagnostic tools to identify potential issues
* Development and implementation of solutions to improve equipment efficiency and reliability
* Collaboration with other teams to ensure smooth operation of equipment
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Minimum 2 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician
* Proven track record of delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
* Strong knowledge of heavy equipment and machinery
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Valid driver's license
* Current RII (Rigging) ticket and/or equivalent
* Experience working at heights and confined spaces
* First aid and CPR certification
