Project Accountant Job Description
As a Project Accountant, you will play a vital role in supporting the project and finance team by maintaining financial data integrity, transparency, and accuracy.

You will work closely with the Finance Lead to prepare journals for project accruals, manage accruals processes, and assist with budget preparation and forecasting.
The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
They will also have knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
In this role, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and improving budgeting and forecasting processes for the project.
Additionally, you will prepare fortnightly project cash flow submissions and provide financial inputs and commentary into the monthly contract status report (CSR).
You will also be responsible for maintaining the project ledger in conjunction with the project controls group and assisting with Oracle queries from the project.
Other responsibilities include ongoing billing processes, maintenance, and monitoring, including incorporating changes resulting from Contract Change Proposals (CCPs).
Bank guarantees administration and milestone schedule maintenance and monitoring are also key aspects of this role.
