Responsibilities:
* Lead the design and deployment of complex Layer 1 to Layer 3 network solutions
* Provide technical input into proposals, tenders, and solution architectures
* Design and document optical and IP networks, including DWDM, OTN, and carrier-grade Ethernet
* Contribute to presales efforts, including customer consultations, solution scoping, and technical presentations
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful solution delivery
* Provide technical mentorship and act as an escalation point for the engineering team
* Stay current with emerging technologies and provide input into strategic direction
Required Skills/Qualifications:
* 5+ years of experience in network engineering with a strong track record in design and implementation
* Hands-on experience with optical networking (DWDM, OTN, fibre infrastructure) is essential
* Sound knowledge of IP networking, including routing, switching, and MPLS
* Experience working directly with clients or internal stakeholders in a presales or consultative capacity
* Familiarity with major vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, or Nokia
* Strong documentation, communication, and presentation skills
* Industry certifications (e.g. CCNP, JNCIP, or optical vendor certs) are highly regarded
