About the Role
We are seeking an, on-site Disability Support Worker based in Hobart, TAS. We're starting on a part-time basis with strong potential for full-time engagement as we grow.
In this role, you'll provide day-to-day support to individuals with disability, helping them live more independently and confidently while enhancing their wellbeing and quality of life.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Delivering high-quality, person-centred support
* Assisting with daily routines and personal care
* Supporting community access and social participation
* Facilitating meaningful activities
* Providing emotional encouragement and stability
* Supporting participants to achieve personal goals
* Promoting dignity, choice, and independence at every step
You won't just be providing care — you'll be building trust, creating positive moments, and helping people live their best lives.
Mandatory Requirements
* Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) Card
* Australian working rights
* Current First Aid & CPR certification
* National Police Check
* Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
Strongly Desired
* Minimum 2 years' experience as a Disability Support Worker
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build respectful relationships
* Understanding of safeguarding and safe care practices
* Clear verbal and written communication
* Ability to support clients with assistive technologies
* Certificate III or IV in Individual Support / Disability Support (preferred)
