Role Overview
The Sous Chef assists the Executive Chef in providing our guests with best‐in‐class, off‐the‐chart, rockstar level meals by leading the Kitchen Team and supervising all venue culinary activities. It requires two important skill sets – culinary management and great leadership.
How You Will Do It
* Supervise the team to deliver best‐in‐class culinary experiences
* Coach and develop the team and drive Associate engagement
* Demonstrate Topgolf's Core Values: Fun, One Team, Excellence, Courage and Caring
* Monitor inventory and purchase product
* Maintain food and labour costs according to budget, with a full understanding of COGS
* Select and develop recipes for corporate approval
* Standardise production recipes and presentation to ensure consistent quality
* Plan and cost menus for special events and chef‐choice menus
* Ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance
* Coordinate the food safety and HACCP, ensuring standards are maintained
* Assist with creating action plans to respond to opportunities
* Work in a fast‐paced, pressured environment while maintaining control of the kitchens and guiding the team to a successful conclusion
What We're Looking For
* Demonstrated experience in a similar position
* Proven ability to lead and develop a culinary team
* Culinary qualifications
* Ability to work in a fast‐paced environment
* Self‐organisation, problem‐solving and time‐management skills with attention to detail
* Comprehensive understanding of food hygiene and food safety programs
* Availability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays
