While painting and decorating form an important part of our service offering, the company's core focus is providing integrated construction and maintenance solutions. As a result, Southcoast Home Improvements require skilled painters who can work autonomously within larger projects, coordinate with other trades, and contribute to maintaining high standards across multiple job sites.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Painter and Decorator will be responsible for the following:
• Surface preparation including sanding, filling, masking, priming, and repairs
• Application of paints and decorative finishes to interior and exterior surfaces
• Working at heights using ladders and elevated access equipment where required
• Maintaining high-quality workmanship, cleanliness, and safety on all job sites
• Liaising professionally with clients and other trades
Requirements
• Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 1 year experience as a qualified Painter and Decorator
• Strong knowledge of painting systems, tools, and materials
• Ability to work independently and manage painting tasks from preparation through to completion
• Ability to deliver high-quality finishes on residential and commercial projects
• White Card (Construction Induction)
• Valid driver licence preferred
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
