The Role
Based at our Bendigo store and responsible for establishing, developing and maintaining strong relationships with local trade clients, key responsibilities of this role include:
1. Expanding the trade customer base and maintaining lasting relationships with these customers
2. Liaising with trade customers and responding to their enquiries
3. Utilising product and pricing knowledge to make recommendations to trade customers
4. Promoting company initiatives, such as the Trade Loyalty Program and Trade accounts, to local electricians and builders
5. Spending time ‘on the road’ visiting new and existing customers, as well as promoting special offers and products
6. Educating other store team members on trade-based opportunities
7. Meeting KPIs and delivering on sales budgets
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following qualities:
8. A background in sales, with trade sales experience highly regarded
9. Previous experience in sourcing new business and generating leads
10. Strong communication skills with the ability to genuinely connect with your customers
11. The confidence to cold-call and ‘win-over’ new business
12. An energetic and enthusiastic approach to all aspects of your job
13. A strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise your work effectively
14. A current driver’s license
