The Role
As a BIM Technician, you'll support the delivery of prefabricated and structural design projects, working closely with structural, mechanical and electrical teams to ensure seamless coordination.
Adjust for each location: This role is based at our Sydney office with hybrid working arrangements available.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce high-quality structural drafting for prefabrication and design projects
* Coordinate our BIM models with multiple other disciplines
* Build client demand for BIM services by engaging proactively with external stakeholders
* Develop analytical models in Revit and interface with structural design software
* Prepare detailed drawings for concrete, steel, timber and masonry
* Manage drawing packages to meet project requirements
* Work within the team to build and maintain parametric families and BIM libraries
* Improve workflows and drafting efficiency
* Troubleshoot design and modelling issues
About You
* Diploma in Design, Engineering or related field
* Understanding of Australian standards
* Previous BIM experience
* Strong proficiency in Revit, cloud-based modelling experience is a plus
* Exposure to mechanical pipework, structural steel and fabrication detailing (advantageous)
* Strong attention to detail and excellent computer literacy
* Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
* Collaborative communication style and a positive, proactive attitude
* Willingness to learn Inventor (experience highly regarded)
* Interest in collaboration tools such as Navis and Revisto
