About The Role
This is an opportunity to join a supportive and motivated Physiotherapy Team in a primarily acute care hospital, in a large regional Health Service. The role will primarily cover weekend shifts. You will be a Senior Physiotherapist in the Emergency Department, providing high level physiotherapy skills across all areas of the department, including as a Primary Care Practitioner providing independent assessment and management of appropriate conditions. You will be required to demonstrate advanced skills in musculoskeletal assessment and care, general acute clinical care and discharge planning, clinical supervision and support for junior colleagues, and exercise independent professional judgement and problem solving. You will have support from other experienced senior clinicians and will be involved in planning, implementing, evaluating and reporting on services, and identifying, developing and leading quality improvement activities to ensure delivery of high quality and consistent care.
Responsibilities
* Provide high level physiotherapy assessment and management in the Emergency Department.
* Deliver independent assessment and management of appropriate conditions as a Primary Care Practitioner.
* Demonstrate advanced skills in musculoskeletal assessment, general acute clinical care, discharge planning, and clinical supervision of junior staff.
* Exercise independent professional judgement and problem solving.
* Collaborate with senior clinicians and participate in planning, evaluating and reporting on services.
* Identify, develop and lead quality improvement activities to ensure high quality care.
