About Us

H.M. Prison Langi Kal Kal is a minimum-security men's protection prison located 140klm west of Melbourne at Trawalla. The prison's primary purpose is the reintegration and preparedness of offenders for transition to release. H.M Prison Langi Kal Kal is made up of eight separate industries: Farm, Horticulture, Landmate, Kitchen, Metalfab, Poultry, Textiles, Stores, & Warehouse, where there is a strong focus on employment, training, and work readiness.

The Justice Officer - Stores & Canteen is part of the Regional Corporate Services team responsible for ensuring best-practice procurement Stores and Shop processes.

About The Role

Reporting to the Finance Supervisor, the Justice Officer - Stores & Canteen will process a range of Warehouse, Prisoner Shop and procurement transactions ensuring compliance with requirements and timelines. This role will ensure electronic and paper-based record keeping systems are up to date and accurate. day-to-day operations of the prison stores functions including warehouse, procurement and administrative functions, prisoner shop, prison archive, prison vehicle fleet. This position entails direct prisoner contact.

Working within a team environment to provide services that support prison operations and prisoners.Assisting in the day-to-day operations of the prison stores functions including procurement and prisoner shop.Providing stores and shop services.

About You

As an ideal candidate, you will possess:

Demonstrated understanding of stores operations. (desirable)Demonstrated understanding of occupational health and safety practices. (desirable)Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations. (desirable)Well-developed computer literacy.Administrative background (desirable)

Qualifications

Relevant qualification that would assist in fulfilling position duties, traineeships, License desirableA current Victorian drivers' licence or a minimum P2 driver's licence
