Accounting Data Entry Clerk
Ardán Inc, a Community of Companies is looking for a talented Accounting Data Entry Clerk to work in our main headquarters office.

Job Summary:
The responsibility of an Accounts Receivable Data Entry Clerk is to perform various accounts payable tasks in the Accounting Department and collaborate with team members to meet and exceed service expectations.
Essential Functions:
* Verification of the accuracy of agency remittance reports and policy information.
* Data entry into the computer system using defined computer programs.
* Investigation of questionable data.
* Recommendation of actions to resolve discrepancies.
* Compilation and preparation of various reports.
* Development of an understanding of policies and remittance reports.
* Verification of the correct agency reflected.
* Determination of the accuracy of the premium authorized by the agent in the state to write the policy.
* Balancing from the batch cover sheet.
* Receipt and separation of checks from the agent office by region, agent, and state.
* Matching of checks with the policy and verification of its accuracy.
* Manual calculation of premium.
* Processing of checks in OTIS by premium type.
* Manual reconciliation of posted checks to balance.
* Printing of deposit report and batch cover sheet from the policy for future processing.
* Delivery of checks to the appropriate personnel for scanning and reconciliation for posting to the G/L.
* Processing of policies by verifying accurate state and Westcor codes.
* Notification of the team lead or manager of any discrepancies in the file.
* Notification of the Accounting manager of any high liability policies (i.e. less than 20 million).
* Other support duties as needed.
Competencies:
* Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* Exceptional problem resolution, attention to detail, project management, follow-through, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
* Passion for providing exceptional service, both internally and externally, in-person, via phone, and in writing.
* Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

Requirements:
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* 3-6 years' experience in clerical accounting, preferably in accounts payable.
* Knowledge of Accounting software.
* Knowledge of generally accepted accounting and bookkeeping principles and procedures.
* Mastery of Excel.
Work Environment:
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate orally and in written form.
The employee uses hands and fingers to type, handle, and reach.
The role operates office machinery such as computers, phones, copiers, printers, etc., in the commission of daily duties.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
