ADE Consulting Group is seeking an Asbestos Hygienist/Junior Hygienist to join our Health & Safety Services team based in Sydney and Melbourne.
The role involves providing comprehensive health and safety services to clients, with a focus on identifying and minimizing exposure to occupational health hazards. Our team works collaboratively with clients to anticipate, identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with chemical, physical, biological, ergonomic, and psychosocial agents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Developing or working toward competence, you will conduct field work and reporting in areas such as Asbestos identification/monitoring/clearance, Pb, Silica, dosimetry, dust assessment, air quality monitoring using real-time instruments, and Mask Fit testing (CNC).
* You will assist senior team members in preparing project-specific SHEWMS and basic Health Risk Assessments prior to undertaking field work.
* Assist in the coordination of field work and be supported with your report writing beginning with simpler projects, to the increasingly complex and interesting.
* Support the project management of small-scale projects under senior team members' guidance, emphasizing timeliness, budget adherence, and customer care.
* Collaborate with the team to implement company values and policies.
About You:
* You possess a technical qualification, bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., courses taken in WHS, Occupational Hygiene, forensics, chemistry, toxicology) or similar experience.
* You have a 'developing-level' of proficiency in the technical field, with a willingness to continuously improve skills; seeking continual growth through feedback.
* You are organized, able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, and familiarize yourself with ADE's administrative and operational arrangements, including the use of software, tools, and processes.
* You are proficient in MS suite, and have effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
* You have 6 months to 3 years of experience in a relevant field or industry, with demonstrated ability to manage own time, smaller projects, with developing leadership and client-care skills.
