Clinical Nurse Specialist – Mental Health & CADS, Carnarvon
The role is a permanent, full‐time appointment of up to 76 hours per fortnight. The successful candidate will serve the Mental Health & CADS team in Carnarvon, delivering specialist clinical care to complex adult and senior clients across the Midwest Region.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct assessment, plan, case management and delivery of clinical mental health care to complex clients.
* Provide specialist clinical, consultant and educational service to clients, carers and primary health care providers.
* Act as a clinical resource and support for multidisciplinary team members.
Qualifications and Experience
* Extensive experience as a Community Mental Health Nurse with expert level skills in crisis intervention, assessment, treatment and case management of adults and seniors with complex mental disorders.
* Strong problem‐solving, conflict‐resolution and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and independently as a practitioner.
* Advanced knowledge and ability to initiate and manage interventions under the Mental Health Act 2014.
* Demonstrated application of the National Standards for Mental Health Services at the organisational level and in clinical practice.
* Clinical leadership skills, including clinical supervision, line management and performance development of staff.
* Current driver's licence (C or C‐A class) or other specialised licence; ability to travel within the region, including overnight stays.
* Valid working visa for fixed‐term appointments or Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or indefinite work visa for permanent appointments.
