Overview
Senior Associate or Special Counsel - Government Procurement at Hall & Wilcox. This role involves working on a range of commercial law matters, including commercial contracting, major projects and government procurement and probity matters, for both Commonwealth and Victorian government departments and agencies.
This is a senior corporate and commercial lawyer role with between 5 and 9 years of PAE/PQE. Melbourne-based with openness to Canberra as a preferred location, and flexible working arrangements may be considered.
Responsibilities
* Work on commercial law matters, including commercial contracting, government procurement and probity matters for public sector clients.
* Advise and support clients across Commonwealth and Victorian government departments and agencies.
* Collaborate with partners and other lawyers to deliver high-quality legal services.
About You
* Minimum of 5 years of post-admission experience.
* Experience in commercial law areas such as commercial contracting, government procurement, projects and/or probity.
* Background working for, or with, the Department of Defence and/or the Victorian government is highly regarded.
* Commonwealth security clearance at NV1, NV2, or Baseline (minimum).
* Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a supportive and collaborative team.
* Ability to run matters end-to-end and manage a busy workload with competing timelines.
