Prison Nursing Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and skilled nurse to fill a unique role in our Hobart-based prison nursing team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Run nurse-led clinics providing essential healthcare services to prisoners
* Conduct reception screenings to identify potential health issues
* Administer medications as prescribed by medical professionals
* Perform wound dressings to promote patient recovery
* Respond to Medical Emergency Team (MET) calls in a timely and effective manner
Requirements:
* A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in Primary Care, Prison Services, Emergency Department, Mental Health, or Acute Hospital settings
* A relevant nursing qualification, such as a Bachelor of Nursing degree
* Active registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* ANMAC assessment for those seeking visa sponsorship
