Our client is a local distributor of a range of industrial equipment and consumables for the manufacturing industry, Australia wide.
Due to sustained growth we are looking to add an experienced Inventory Controller to their Brisbane based operations.
In this exciting position you will take control over all parts and inventory movements, while maintaining manageable stock levels and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of all SKU labelling and stores allocations.
Reporting to senior Management, your day-to-day tasks will include but not be limited to:
Managing the daily movement of all equipment and consumables.
Hands-on involvement with stock movements and inwards/outwards goods movements.
Monitoring the rotation of consumable products to ensure compliance with expiry dates.
Stocktake, stock forecasting and demand planning.
Some customer service functions as required – order updates etc.
Our successful candidate will possess most or all of the following skills and attributes:
Previous experience in an inventory control position within an industrial or technically based environment where spare parts and consumables movements are a regular activity.
Adept at recognising parts items from stock numbers, diagrams or visually, and either creating an inventory number or allocating stock locations accordingly.
Strong attention to detail and belief that accuracy saves time.
Knowledge and experience with dangerous goods and import/export.
Excellent computer and data entry skills.
SimPro knowledge is an advantage.
Able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment and use initiative.
Comfortable in dealing with a range of stakeholders – internal, suppliers, customers, etc.
