We are seeking an experienced Clinical Midwifery Educator to join our dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on the education and development of midwives in our region.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying learning needs, developing targeted programs, and delivering meaningful clinical education at the ward level. They will work closely with nursing unit managers and other healthcare professionals to ensure that education is tailored to meet the needs of our staff.
As a Clinical Midwifery Educator, you will have a passion for education and a commitment to excellence. You will be able to identify learning gaps and develop strategies to address them, and you will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are ever the same.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A current registration to practice as a Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Relevant clinical/education post-registration qualification/s
* Recent extensive clinical experience in a healthcare setting
* Demonstrated ability to identify learning needs and to plan, develop, deliver, and evaluate education
* Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work in a consultative manner
* Demonstrated previous experience in clinical teaching, mentoring, and/or preceptorship
* Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a team environment
* Commitment to working with Nursing Unit Managers/Midwives to establish and maintain a learning environment that values and encourages reflective practice
