Duncon Homes is expanding again
We are seeking a number of experienced and productive Carpenters to join our team building high end Modular buildings in our new yard in Caloundra.
There is opportunity to grow within the company for the right candidates, rate is $60p/h on a Full-time employment contract.
Experience on Modular construction is not essential but would certainly be a benefit. It's exactly the same as building a normal house, except you are building on a pre-fabricated steel subfloor in a controlled environment, so it's very simple. We have a huge amount of work on the books for next year and are looking to bring a new core team of carpenters to facilitate the rapid growth we're experiencing.
We require our carpenters to have their own basic tools and transport along with a hard-working attitude. Any specialised or larger tools as well as all safety equipment etc that are required are supplied by the company.
We allocate you a job and a time frame to complete the build along with all the materials required for that job.
We go over the plans with you prior to the base for the build arriving in the yard. Once the base arrives all the materials are at your disposal and you just need to follow the plans and complete the build up to the point where its ready to be lifted out of the yard. Each job is different but we need you to complete them from start to finish, all aspects.
You will be fully supported by the construction manager at all times.
Full administration support is supplied by the office for ordering materials etc so you don't need to worry about that.
We have a large pool of reliable and high quality subbies that we use and they will also be at your disposal to fit into your build schedule for each job. This will be organised for you by the construction manager.
Being able to read and interpret plans is essential.
