About the role:
The Advanced Health Worker will provide routine Alcohol and Other Drugs and Social, Emotional and Well-Being care to individuals, families and the community of Woorabinda Aboriginal Community. Implement health screening, brief intervention and advocacy and actively support health programs.
This role reports to the Nurse Unit Manager of Community Health. The Health Worker Advanced provides cultural and clinical support and works alongside the Nurse Unit Manager to provide leadership to the health workers within the Community Health Service.
About you:
Appointment, and future increment progression, between pay points HWF3.1 to HWF3.5 requires: Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health. Appointment, and future increment progression, between pay points HWF3.2 to HWF3.7, or HWF3.8 (limited to employees who meet the requirements of HED 04/23) requires: Diploma of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care. Applicants who do not hold the mandatory qualification requirements, but believe they have the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the role as outlined, and will commit to completing the qualification(s) within an agreed timeframe if appointed, are encouraged to apply for this vacancy. Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $121,350 p.a. is comprised of:
