Contract Manager

The Contract Improvement Manager is responsible for the procurement sourcing and contract management of critical services and commodities contracts in line with the TAFE NSW Contract Management Procurement Framework.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Identify and execute strategic procurement solutions across procurement categories to achieve savings and value through process efficiencies, negotiation approaches, and supplier innovation and management.
- Manage and adjust complex and critical strategic contractual arrangements from a commercial and operational perspective to reduce risk, meet business needs and add value (e.g. official travel, office supplies, contingent labour, e tc.).
- Demonstrate and promote the value of the TAFE NSW Checkout Contracts and Supplier Lifecycle Performance modules, by using these systems to plan and deliver best in class contract and supplier management in line with the TAFE NSW Contract Management F ramework.
- Lead the implementation of 'best practice' methodologies, utilising all available procurement levers to deliver improved commercial and efficiency outcomes from currently contracted arrangements.
- Lead and participate in expert reference groups an d leverage internal and external stakeholder relationships for key areas of spend to develop effective contract approaches, networking and formal knowledge sharing sessions, and representing TAFE NSW on external working groups.
- Provide expert quality advic e on complex and sensitive issues related to sourcing, market engagement and contract management, including undertaking objective, critical analysis to draw accurate conclusions to recognise and manage operational issues.
- Anticipate and work through issues and risks, weigh up alternatives and identify the most effective solutions.
- Lead any change management activities required for business implementation and transition in and out of contracted services
- Manage the customer experience, including handling any recommendations, issues or feedback with support from the Procurement team.
- Support the Procurement team, as an expert on operational contract management and make recommendations and implement change that continuously improves the Contract Management Framework and capability at TAFE NSW in order to identify and minimise risk that support s informed decision making for
- TAFE NSW.
