Overview
The Victorian Aboriginal Child and Community Agency (VACCA) is an Aboriginal Community-Controlled organisation that supports and advocates for the Aboriginal Community. VACCA is the largest organisation of its kind in Australia and is committed to providing support, service and advocacy for children and other vulnerable members of the community. The Office Manager will oversee all reception and administration responsibilities for both the Werribee and Melton offices.
Responsibilities
* Oversee reception and administration for both Werribee and Melton offices
* Maintain confidentiality, stay highly organised, and work professionally with Aboriginal staff, families and professionals
* Manage a high workload, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
* Lead and support administrative staff and reception roles, including on-the-job training
* Manage a debit card, including record keeping and account reconciliation
Qualifications and Attributes
* Demonstrated commitment to VACCA's values and purpose
* Awareness and appreciation of Aboriginal societies and cultures; understanding issues affecting Aboriginal people in contemporary Australia
* Experience or ability to manage other administrative staff and provide leadership in reception
* Understanding of privacy and confidentiality; ability to maintain it
* Ability to manage a high workload and meet deadlines
* Proven experience in financial responsibilities related to debit card management
Requirements
* Valid Police Check
* Working with Children Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain)
* Victorian Driver Licence
* Current COVID-19 vaccination (strongly recommended)
