MERCURE GERRINGONG RESORT Position: Full Time Location: Gerringong NSW
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 a year
Award-winning Mercure Gerringong Resort is situated in the seaside village of Gerringong on the NSW South Coast, providing fantastic cuisine and some of Australia's best wine at Bella Char Restaurant and Wine Bar. For inspiring conferences, gorgeous weddings and unforgettable special occasions, the resort's state-of-the-art venues can accommodate groups of up to 180 guests with experienced event designers and caterers to handle every detail.
Responsibilities
* Confidence in cooking abilities
* Creativity and high presentation standards
* Ability to create dishes with consistency
* Skills in preparing different variety of cuisine
* Skilled in preparing, seasoning, and cooking food according to recipes
* Understanding of food safety and OHS requirements
* Train and manage junior cooks and kitchen staff
* Achieving all safety, hygiene and food quality
Qualifications
* At least 2 years' experience in a similar role
* Relevant qualifications in commercial cookery
* Ability to excel in a high-volume, high-pressure environment
* Proactive, energetic and share a passion for the hospitality industry
* Possess effective communication skills with an approachable manner
