About the role
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Estimator to join our dynamic team and play a key role in delivering high-quality, competitive project proposals. As a Commercial Estimator, you will be responsible for increasing commercial sales and brand awareness, acquiring new customers, and coordinating customer services. You’ll work closely with the sales, project management, and procurement teams to ensure that all tenders are submitted on time, meet client requirements, and align with business goals.
What does my day to day look like?
* Perform Take-off and prepare quantities accurately and on a timely basis.
* Perform costing and pricing for tender in coordination with other departments and ensuring profitability guidelines and targets are maintained.
* Compile proposal /quotation, tender schedules, program and other items required by the tender.
* Liaise with client on an ongoing basis to determine progress of tender.
* Compile relevant tender information into Quotation Register.
* Ensure accurate and timely information relating to the project is communicated to the relevant divisions of the company.
* Co-ordinate project documentation and schedules from the client.
* Project Manage the project from point order through to successful practical completion, in a cost-effective manner whilst maintaining an acceptable level of customer satisfaction.
* Identify and act on project variations on construction drawings that differ from Tender Drawings from which order was received.
What you will bring to the role:
* Technical or tertiary qualifications preferred, along with work experience in the air-conditioning industry. Design experience is advantageous.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and leadership qualities are required, contributing to the operations network.
* Strong negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
* Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
