About the opportunity
The Communications Manager plays a key role in safeguarding and enhancing Australia Post's reputation and social license through effective communication strategies.
Reporting to the Senior Communications Manager, you will plan and execute projects and communication initiatives aligned with strategic goals across the organization. This role requires a blend of communication expertise and project management skills.
You will ensure the timely development and dissemination of high-quality communications across various platforms, engaging team members nationwide. Building collaborative relationships across departments and understanding business needs and stakeholder audiences are essential.
Your responsibilities include:
* Implementing the Communications strategy and proposing initiatives to improve team communication
* Developing trusted relationships with leaders, preparing communication plans, messages, and presentations as needed
* Supporting enterprise projects, including digital screen rollouts, by executing plans and creating engaging communications
* Ensuring message consistency and alignment with enterprise-wide programs through collaboration with the Communications team
* Working with frontline teams to facilitate effective project rollouts
About you
You are calm under pressure, capable of managing complex, high-profile projects with a methodical approach. You advocate for the customer, translating complex ideas into clear communications. Organized, data-driven, adaptable, and solution-focused, you enjoy building relationships and tackling challenges proactively.
What we're looking for:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications or related fields within large organizations
* Strong project management skills for planning, executing, and evaluating large programs
* Experience in developing and implementing communication plans and campaigns
* Excellent oral, written, and editing skills, with knowledge of digital communication channels
* Curiosity about current news, social, and political issues
* Highly organized, efficient, and comfortable working in ambiguous situations
* Strong interpersonal, change management, and project management skills
* An understanding of issues and their impact on reputation
