Indicative Base Salary Package

$339,657 to $447,762 (pro rata for part time). Inclusive of Base Salary + Private Practice Scheme Allowance + On-call allowance + Medical Education Expense Allowance + Superannuation (12%). Note: Starting base salary will be negotiated within this classification for the successful candidate, depending on experience and expertise.

Position Overview

The Department of Dermatology manages patients of all ages with a wide range of skin diseases often in association with multiple active co-morbidities. The unit provides outpatient services and supports inpatient care via a consultation service using a co-management model. Applicants should have training and experience in Dermatology with an AMC accredited postgraduate qualification in Dermatology and current AHPRA Specialist Registration. The successful applicant will work in a multidisciplinary clinical environment with a team of nursing and medical staff, including Australian College of Dermatologists Trainees. The successful applicant will be expected to take a role in teaching and assessment within the Australian National University (ANU) Medical School and will be involved in education and training of medical students and junior medical staff (including physician trainees). There are significant opportunities to undertake research and quality assurance projects.

Qualifications and Requirements
* Registered Specialist in Dermatology with AMC accredited postgraduate qualification.
* Current AHPRA Specialist Registration.
* Hold Specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
* Meet credentialing requirements and receive an Endorsed scope of clinical practice from the Medical Dental Appointments Advisory Committee (MDAAC).
* Undergo a pre-employment National Police Check.
* Comply with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.
Academic Conjoint Position

Preferred candidate may be considered for a conjoint position in ANU at an academic level commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. The academic position will be held for the duration of the Canberra Health Services employment and will be subject to regular performance reviews. No remuneration is attached to the University position. The employee will be responsible to the University on academic matters and to The Canberra Hospital & Health Services / Canberra Health Services for clinical/research matters.
