The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Greenhouse Team Leader to supervise daily greenhouse operations across growing, harvesting, packing, storage, and dispatch of hydroponic crops.
Working closely with the Farm Manager and Agronomists, you will play a key role in maintaining crop health, driving productivity, and ensuring the highest standards of quality, food safety, and workplace safety.
This role offers a great opportunity for someone passionate about agriculture who enjoys leading from the front.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Supervision
* Lead and supervise daily greenhouse activities including planting, pruning, harvesting, packing, storage, and dispatch
* Coordinate workflow to ensure production targets and quality standards are met
* Monitor crop health, pests, and diseases, applying appropriate controls when required
* Assist with the operation of irrigation and fertigation systems
* Liaise with the Farm Manager to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations
Data Collection & Reporting
* Collect and record crop performance data, harvest volumes, and quality metrics
* Maintain accurate records of pest control treatments and plant health monitoring
* Assist in preparing reports outlining performance, issues, and improvement opportunities
Quality, Safety & Compliance
* Maintain high standards of food safety, biosecurity, and produce quality
* Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements
* Promote and enforce safe work practices across the team
About You
* Proven experience in a supervisory or team leadership role (essential)
* Experience or training in agriculture, horticulture, or a related field
* Knowledge of crop management, pest and disease control (desirable)
* Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
* Physically fit and comfortable in a hands-on greenhouse environment
* Positive, proactive leadership style with strong communication skills
