AIRAH is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to lead our marketing and membership functions. In this strategic role, you will enhance brand visibility, grow membership, increase event participation, and expand engagement across the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (HVAC&R) industry.
You will design and deliver integrated, data-informed marketing strategies across digital and traditional channels, while leading both the Marketing and Membership Teams to ensure cohesive campaigns, strong processes, and exceptional member experiences.
Working closely with the CEO and internal stakeholders, you will support organisational growth, strengthen AIRAH's national reach, and deliver communication that reflects our mission and industry leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership
Lead and develop the Marketing and Membership Teams, including setting expectations, coaching, and performance management.
Foster a collaborative, data-led, high-performance culture.
Oversee day-to-day team operations, workflow, and priority setting.
Drive membership engagement, acquisition, and retention initiatives.
Ensure all marketing and membership activity aligns with organisational strategy.
Brand and Design
Lead AIRAH's brand strategy and ensure consistent messaging, tone, and visual identity.
Deliver campaigns that elevate AIRAH's reputation and member value.
Provide strategic communication advice to internal teams.
Maintain and evolve brand guidelines.
Campaigns and Content
Oversee the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns.
Ensure content aligns with brand voice and strategic priorities.
Lead website management, social media, newsletters, and other digital channels.
Work with the Publications Manager on editorial planning and magazine promotion.
Identify opportunities for cross-promotion with industry partners.
Membership Growth and Engagement
Develop data-driven campaigns using segmentation, CRM insights, and behavioural data.
Optimise membership journeys, onboarding, and engagement pathways.
Support consistent processes, metrics, and service levels across all member touchpoints.
Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with Advocacy, Events, Education, and Professional Development teams on program promotion.
Support the CEO with planning, budgeting, reporting, and performance measurement.
Engage committees, partners, and member groups to gather insights.
Analytics & Reporting
Monitor and report on campaign results, website analytics, social metrics, email performance, and membership data.
Use data to refine strategies and improve ROI.
Implement systems, workflows, and dashboards that support data-driven decision-making.
Oversee pricing strategies for membership, events, education, sponsorship, and advertising.

Experience in a marketing role, ideally in a membership-based or not-for-profit environment.

Strong project management, prioritisation, and organisational skills.
Process-oriented thinker with experience building systems and workflows.
5+ years experience (7+ preferred) and 3+ years in people leadership.
Experience in a membership association or professional industry body.
Knowledge of the built environment or technical education sectors.
Experience with segmentation, audience modelling, and membership lifecycles.
