About the role
Applications are invited for a Senior Occupational Therapist to work within our Residential Aged Care services at Grampians Health Ballarat. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and innovate aged care service and therapy during a period of transformative change, with a strong focus on person-centred care, quality improvement, and interdisciplinary collaboration. This role will support an Occupational Therapy service framework embedded in the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards (2024), and create a wellness-focused, restorative model of care that empowers residents to live their most meaningful lives.
With a minimum of 7 years post graduate clinical experience, ideally in aged care rehabilitation or services, the successful applicant will have recognised expertise in holistic, evidence-based, occupation-focused therapy/intervention, tailored to residents' goals. This may include equipment prescription for complex care needs, cognitive rehabilitation, functional rehabilitation or adaptive strategies, and wellness supporting initiatives. You will manage a varied and challenging clinical caseload and provide leadership within the broader Occupational Therapy team.
