Animal Care Specialist
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Animal Care Specialist to join our team. As an Animal Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to pets in our facility.
Main Responsibilities:
* Providing food and water for pets in care
* Conducting health checks and general animal husbandry
* Supervising groups of dogs and managing their behaviors to maintain overall wellbeing and safety
* Providing enrichment through play and scheduled activities
* Frequent cleaning and upkeep of the facility to maintain a high level of hygiene and safety
* Building and maintaining rapport with pet owners through feedback and transparency
* Creating and distributing media content for pet owners through videos and photos
* Daily administration such as answering enquiries, record keeping, and entering information in our booking systems
Requirements:
* Available to attend a lawful unpaid work trial shift
* Available on weekends and school holiday periods
* Must be driven and have a strong work ethic as the role can be physically demanding
* Must be attentive and have a great attention to detail
* Works well in a team environment
* Must be able to follow routines, policies, and procedures
* Previous experience working with animals is preferred
* Current driver's license and ability to drive a large automatic van (pet taxi) on occasion
