Job Title: Content Creator & Strategist

Capacity: Full-time

Location: Cremorne, Melbourne

Who are you?

You're a creator at heart but also analytical. You love telling stories, spotting trends, building community, and bringing brand personality to life in a way that actually connects.

* You have at least 2 years of professional experience working in an e-commerce brand (essential).
* You have built your own personal brand, or been pivotal in building a brand
* You understand social media culture, especially Instagram and TikTok, inside out.
* You know how to plan, create, shoot, and edit content end-to-end (and manage talent and external creators as needed).
* You're proactive and can ideate, brief, and deliver with minimal hand-holding.
* You have strong behind-the-camera skills and understand the basics of photography, framing, lighting, and composition.
* You understand what makes content perform - not just look good - across both organic and paid media.
* You understand how to get and keep attention, using hooks, pacing, narrative, and humour or emotional cues.
* You genuinely love brand building and community engagement - replying to comments, sparking conversation, and showing up consistently.
* You're organised, love processes, and thrive working both independently and collaboratively.
* You live and breathe creativity - but you're also strategic, thoughtful, and data-minded.
* You enjoy dissecting data across Meta/IG/TikTok analytics and use what you learn to evolve and optimise content.
Responsibilities
* Lead content creation across TikTok, Instagram, Meta, YouTube Shorts, and emerging platforms.
* Develop and execute memobottle's social content calendar and storytelling themes.
* Co-create a community engagement strategy with the head of marketing that builds belonging and advocacy.
* Manage our online community (with assistance from one junior staff member): replies, DM's, reposts, conversations, and community delight.
* Plan and create video concepts, scripts, storyboards, UGC-style content, and founder-led content.
* Plan founder shoot sessions - preparing scripts, shot lists, and direction to minimise founder timeand maximise content output.
* Capture and edit content in-house, and source/manage external creators or freelancers when needed.
* Write briefs and manage junior video editor, to obtain the desired outcome.
* Identify trends and moments to jump on or adapt for the brand.
* Analyse performance and report on insights to guide continuous improvement.
* Ensure consistent tone, visual style, and narrative across all brand touchpoints.
* Support the marketing team with campaign development, launches, and brand moments.
* Work with the marketing team to create briefs for additional social media requirements.
Things you might do in a typical month
* Film, edit, and publish a series of TikToks highlighting a new product feature or customer story.
* Plan and run a themed social series (e.g. "What's In Your Bag?" "Flat Things I Love" "Inside the Studio").
* Create a monthly content calendar, schedule content, and coordinate internal + creator contributions.
* Run a community engagement session - replying, reposting, bridging conversations, and celebrating our audience.
* Plan a half-day founder shoot - write script outlines, assemble a shot list, coordinate studio/locations, capture multiple pieces of content from one block of time.
* Source and brief a UGC creator to produce product demonstration clips for paid ads.
* Edit high-performing organic content variations to test in Meta ads.
* Review analytics to understand why certain videos overperformed and use those insights to design new content.
* Write a series of breifs for our junior video editor, and work with them to execute the desired vision.
* Identify culture moments, brand-aligned trends, or conversation points to join in real time.
* Collaborate with the Creative Lead on campaign storytelling and visuals.
Tools & Platforms You'll Use

Instagram, TikTok, Meta Business Suite, CapCut, Canva, Shopify, Klaviyo, Dropbox, Asana (or similar planning tools). Bonus points for adobe suite.

What you'll bring
* Minimum 2 years working in an e-commerce brand or agency working with e-commerce brands.
* A portfolio of short-form content you've created (personal, brand, freelance - all welcome).
* Familiarity with analytics and content optimisation.
* Comfort in both shooting and editing fast-turnaround content.
* Strong communication and storytelling skills.
* A confident representation of memobottle's tone, personality, and values.
