Dynamix Fabrication, part of the Renko Group, is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead our fabrication operations at our Berrimah facility. We specialise in sheet metal, steel, and aluminium fabrication, primarily supporting Renko Group ventures including Select Switchboards and Custom Works Boat Manufacturing. With modern machinery and a skilled team, we produce precision components and products for a wide range of commercial and industrial applications.
Your Role
As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our workshop and production team. Key responsibilities include:
* Managing the fabrication workflow across cutting, processing, welding, and assembly for bespoke and high volume repetitive production.
* Leading a team of tradesmen, apprentices, and machine operators.
* Allocating labour and resources to meet production targets and delivery deadlines.
* Monitoring quality control and ensuring adherence to specifications and safety standards.
* Liaising with engineering, drafting, and project management teams.
* Implementing and improving workshop procedures to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
* Reporting on production performance and resolving issues as they arise.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in a production management or workshop supervisory role, ideally in metal fabrication or a related industry.
* Strong understanding of sheet metal processes, CNC equipment, and fabrication workflows.
* Proven ability to lead and motivate teams to meet performance goals.
* Competent in reading technical drawings and work orders.
* Effective communicator with solid organisational and time management skills.
* Knowledge of workplace health and safety and safe workshop practices.
* Must be an Australian resident or hold a current working visa.
Desirable Skills
* Experience using job tracking or ERP software for production planning.
* Trade background in sheet metal or fabrication.
* Forklift or High Risk Licence.
* Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
